You can call it minutes, old business, new business, a board meeting, we got together! I’ll try to get the roll call posted, or a screenshot of the list would do.
Cliff, thanks a lot for all the time, sweat and tears you put in whilst being at the helm. Also to the rest of the board thanks for all your time. Not sure if anyone was keeping minutes this meeting, if so let me know and I’ll post ASAP.
One of the last things the outgoing board voted on were the rules on emotional support dogs. They were approved. (PLEASE, someone in the comment section let me know if it goes under bylaws or covenants. I have no idea).
Here you go: an addendum PDF which has been voted on, discoverable and accessible for all. (drag to scroll)
Old BizOne of the reasons I volunteer to help out on the board is to start collecting the dealings of our HOA in a centralized online repository. There are static documents, re-occurring contracts with snow removal guys and waste management. We go through bids from contractors. Bills get paid, votes, proposals, you name it. Then it all disappears.
Having all this fester at the bottom of the rotating board members' inboxes is not the place to store these. This unnecessary inefficiency impedes continuity in our HOA dealings. I believe we can keep everything in a one timestamped, hyperlinked website, accessible to all our homeowners, open to comments, which will can be displayed in a transparent manner.
There are some pressing maintenance issues. The new board will try to prioritize, asses the scope of the projects and keep y'all abreast. But please chime in: REGISTER, this way you then can comment on issues and comment on comments.
Marc Kiernan – 911 guy.
One of our first calls of action was to vote for Mark Kiernan to be our 911 guy. Mark will deal with any subcontractor, get bids, etc. This in return to offset his HOA dues for his services. We will revisit in 6 months. Maybe he will want out, maybe the board wants out, who knows, but with his proven track record I think we all win.
I'm reaching out to all of you to help me compile an online repository of a knowledge base on categories like: snow removal, waste management, roof repairs, financials, parking, etc. It's a work in progress, information should be searchable by date and topic.
English is not my first language so help a brother out and let me know.
It's late night more soon,
Take care y'all and thanks for your vote of confidence.
